Ivy Staten is a young fireball of energy, who is well educated and visionary enough to take the helm of leadership in the City Commissioner's office and bring innovation and vision to the office, The likes of which has never been seen before. She has volunteered with the Committee of Seventy to learn first-hand about the voter registration and voter education process.

She has done extensive research on best practices for voter registration and voter registration in top cities around the country and she brings to the table, her own creative ideas about how to get more voter engagement and participation in the city of Philadelphia. 

By updating the Commissioner's web site, using more social networking for voter education and becoming more visible and accessible in the community for forums and workshops on voter education and registration, amongst other things related to the voting. process in Philadelphia.

Ivy Staten also brings to the table a strong understanding of computer technology to help upgrade Philadelphia's lagging voting systems.

In the state House of Representatives, Jewell Williams has distinguished himself as being a hardworker and very aggressive about fighting for the survival of programs, funding and other state support for the district he presents.

He has worked tirelessly for more than 30 years on behalf of residents of Philadelphia.

His genuine interest and concern for the ordinary people has been one of the hallmarks of his outstanding career. In 1986, Rep. Williams graduated from the Philadelphia Police Academy and joined the Temple University Police Department. In 1994 he accepted the position of Chief of Criminal Operations for the Philadelphia Sheriff s Office and in 2000, won his election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 197th Legislative District.

Now he wants to return to the Sheriffs office as its leader and I know he's prepared to take on the job. He's pushed for such issues as employment tax credits to create thousands of new jobs, local minimum wage standard raised from $5.15 per hour to $10.88 cents per hour, job preference for local residents for civil service positions and city projects, business diversity goals for city contracting improved from less than 5% to 25%. Wilson Goode has pushed for Fair lending and community reinvestment goals required for city depository banks and $30 million in tax credit partnerships for neighborhood economic development. City Councilman Jim Kenney's Biography

Jim Kenney is a life-long resident of South Philadelphia. He is a 1976 graduate of St. Joseph's Preparatory School and a graduate of LaSalle University. First elected to Philadelphia City Council in 1991, Jim is currently serving his fifth term on office as a Democratic Councilman at-Large.

Since taking office in January 1992, Councilman Kenney has built a deserved reputationfor offering a commonsense approach and a willingness to tackle the tough problems confronting the City of Philadelphia.

Currently, Councilman Kenney is focusing his efforts on making Philadelphia a more sustainable, accountable and vibrant city. He has sponsored numerous environmental initiatives, including successful incentives for green roofs and plug-in vehicles, and a mandate for cool roofs to be installed on new residential and commercial buildings.

He has also championed construction regulations to improve tower crane safety - the first of its kind in any major US city - and enhance public safety with a facade inspection ordinance. In addition, Jim remains committed to promoting accessible and transparent government by campaigning for the creation and expansion of the City'S 311 call center.

Furthermore, Jim remains focused on improving the quality-of-life for residents and businesses. He has sponsored legislation to further regulate towing from private property to protect drivers from illegal tows and towing practices and the nation's first tax incentive to attract socially and environmentally responsible businesses to Philadelphia.

William Greenlee deserves to be reelected to City Council At Large. Councilman William Greenlee was born, raised and has lived his whole life in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia. He is a graduate of St. Joseph's Prep and attained a degree in journalism from Temple University. He and his wife Leslie have been married for the past 20 years. He's been a participating member of the Fairmount Civic Association for 30 years, periodically serving on the board. Since 1982, he has been a Democratic Committeeperson. In 1994, he was elected Democratic Leader of the is" Ward, an economically and racially diverse area composed of the neighborhood of Fairmount , Francisville and Spring Garden. Candidate For Common Pleas Judge

FAMlLY

I am the oldest of seven children born and raised in South Philadelphia. My father was a police officer
and my mother a full time mom. I am married and the father of two children. One is a college senior and
the other a Philadelphia Public School teacher.


EDUCATION

 I attended Grammar school, High School  and College in the City. I later attended five years of Graduate
School. I am a trained Social worker. After Graduate School, I attended law school at night at Temple
University.

CAREER

I  was a Philadelphia Public School teacher before I did active social work. 1was Director of Drug
Treatment for the City. I worked in the Philadelphia prisons as a Social Worker. After attending law
school, 1was a prosecutor/a criminal defense attorney, and a lawyer representing injured parties in civil
cases especially toxic tort cases.

I did a variety of other civil work as well, he represented several unions and did more than my share of pro bono work. He was a lawyer for 30 years before Governor Rendell appointed me to the bench in 2009. 1 presently sit in the Municipal Court. His term expires in January, 2012.He must run in the May 17,2011 primary to retain a judgeship.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

I  presently President of The Orpheus Club of Philadelphia and in my role as President, I created the
Community Outreach program The Club is the oldest singing group of its kind in the U.S. Through our
Outreach we entertain the homeless, the terminally ill, incarcerated youth and incurable adults and
children throughout the City.

I also am a volunteer for Project H.O.M.B. Project H.O.M.B. is an agency
which provides services to the homeless in Philadelphia. At Project H.O.M.B. I mentor high school age
children who are interested in careers in the law. I spend 12 hours a week working with them at 23m and
Norris Sts. At the Honickrnann Center there. I am also providing Summer Internships for 3 students from
the Center.

I also created the Mock trial team at Honickmann and this year in our first competition we
were honored with' an award for participation and skill. I am very proud of the students who participated.
